Rawlings and Easton are sporting goods manufacturers with a focus on baseball and softball equipment. They’re owned by Major League Baseball. Rawlings’s primary goal is selling high-end baseball and softball gloves including their custom glove line. Easton focuses more on their fastpitch softball and baseball bats.
In Q4 2022, Rawlings/Easton looked to Delegator to help achieve lofty goals, including increasing revenue by 30% year-over-year. Delegator managed Google Search, Performance Max, Video, and Display ads as well as Bing Search and Shopping ads for both Rawlings and Easton. Delegator also was tasked with properly allocating the increased budget that was assigned for the quarter.

With this revenue goal Rawlings/Easton allocated more budget, which we divided between their campaigns based on historical performance. Delegator also led a keyword URL project in order to direct traffic to the most relevant product detail pages in most cases, and category pages in others. Additionally, Delegator determined what product SKUs were performing best and created Performance Max campaigns designed to highlight these items. A big part of this push was focused on the Custom Glove products, which accounted for a significant portion of revenue gained, helping us to achieve the goals.
With the optimizations Delegator made alongside the Rawlings/Easton team, return on ad spend increased by over 20% YoY. We also prioritized the major ecommerce shopping days — particularly Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday 2022 was one of the biggest web sales days for Rawlings/Easton ever. PPC revenue was up 83% compared to Cyber Monday 2021 and ad spend was up 51%. Not only was Delegator able to effectively spend the increased budget, we also were able to efficiently scale the budget, improving return on ad spend in the process. For the year, Delegator was able to surpass Rawlings/Easton’s growth goals for web sales. In 2023, Delegator is continuing to help Rawlings/Easton grow their business through paid search, shopping, display, and video.
