Digital Advertising Strategist

The strategist works directly with clients to strategize about the best way to use the tools of digital advertising to grow their business. This person works in tandem with the internal team to meet client needs regarding, brainstorming, performance, planning, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be skilled with digital advertising analysis and client service. Essential skills include discovering trends from data sets and thinking critically in order to best optimize digital advertising accounts. The position requires collaboration both with teammates and clients. The ideal candidate will learn quickly, work proactively, have excellent communication & problem solving skills, and be a team player.

The Digital Advertising Strategist will:

  • Understand a client’s business objectives, their industry, and their target customer, and creatively use the tools of digital advertising to achieve their goals – primarily social media ads, paid search ads, product listing ads, or display ad formats.

  • Collaborate with the client and internal specialists to design a strategy, define the measurable KPIs, put an action plan in place, and communicate back to the client how our team is accomplishing those goals. 

  • Proactively seek ways to increase ad account performance and client satisfaction.

  • Review clients’ advertising accounts daily with the goal of increasing key performance indicators such as Return on Ad Spend or Cost per Conversion.

  • Communicate with clients via email, phone, or video conference.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, or quarterly reporting that visually and narratively tells the client what has happened during the reporting period, what we think the data means, and what we will be doing as a result. 

  • Lead monthly client meetings, and ensure that notes and action items are captured, organized, and followed up on.

When considering candidates, we look for:

  • Ability to provide creative direction on message, voice, and visuals in social media ads

  • Familiarity with digital advertising metrics, and ability to connect trends to broader strategy

  • Intuition for how real people use the internet to encounter new brands and make purchase decisions

  • Ability to communicate abstract, quantitative, complex ideas clearly and concisely to clients

  • Business savvy

  • Possess high degree of character and integrity

  • Serious consideration of our duty to our clients

  • The ability to not take ourselves too seriously

Starting Base Salary: $50,000-$75,000+
