THE CONVERSION OPTIMIZATION REVIEW
The Conversion Optimization Review is how we get started. This gives us a baseline for understanding your current online performance and where we can make it better. At the end of the process you’ll have a detailed roadmap on how to optimize your site for conversion. The review is a three step process:
- We discuss your conversion concerns.
- We start building the best solutions.
- We provide recommendations to improve conversions.
First, we meet with you to get a full understanding of how your site flows, what your conversion events are, and how things have performed historically. Mindful of the value of your time, this meeting and a follow-up questionnaire help guide the optimization process. We’ll also review your site analytics at this point to understand historical and baseline performance.
After reviewing the consultation and questionnaire we conduct a one hour interactive meeting (which will work wherever you are) to walk you through your main conversion funnels, highlighting the top opportunities for improving your conversion rates. To keep it as useful and actionable as possible, we will “mark-up” your site in real-time showing you specific recommendations and examples when applicable.
Following the presentation, we will provide you with a recording of the meeting as well as a spreadsheet of organized, fleshed out testing ideas and implementation suggestions that can be used by you internally or by Delegator if you’d like us to run the tests. These recommendations, combined with the interactive presentation, will provide you with the foundation to your conversion strategy.

User testing provides invaluable information on how users interact with your site. First we help develop a real-life scenario and specific tasks for users to carry out on your site. We then select users based on demographics important to you (based on age, gender, income, country, web expertise) and place them on your site. While narrating and recording every move, users complete the tasks indicating the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your site. Videos of these visits and a well-documented spreadsheet of the recommendations then help show you more about your typical users’ habits, their preferences, and what works and what doesn’t when it comes to conversion. User testing can also be a useful tool for observing the effects of various tests implemented on site.
